December 2020

Our 2020 reflections

Despite the challenging year, we've also had our fair share of highlights and wins for catalysing social change. Learn more about just some of them in our Year in Review

Our CEO, Professor Kristy Muir, has written a 2020 resilience wrap: Mozzies, ticks and parasites.

And from all of us at CSI, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season! We'll be back from 4 January, 2021.

Pulse report launches

We've just launched the first major report in our Pulse of the For-Purpose Sector initiative - a deep dive into the impacts of 2020 on the Australian for-purpose sector.

“This is only the first of many reports. CSI is excited to continue this research and seeks to contribute to relief and renewal efforts by arming the organisations and communities that the social sector serves with the data, knowledge and insights needed to recover from the devastations of 2020 and future events.” - CSI CEO, Professor Kristy Muir

If you’re an alliance or organisation working to grow the impact investment ecosystem and/or providing programs of support to early-stage social ventures, CSI Swinburne would love your input for their mapping project. Please complete our 15-20 minute survey.

Earlier this month we announced the winners of CSI's 2020 staff awards! Staff were nominated by their peers and our leadership team voted on the winners. Watch our video announcement and learn about each of the recipient’s 2020 achievements. Congrats to the winners!

Have you spotted our resources showcasing our research on how social enterprises can affect young people's social determinants of health? The research findings show that Work Integration Social Enterprise (WISE) models have a positive influence on young people.
